Closing a 4 year Chapter

Life is full of unexpected twists and turns, and sometimes we find ourselves at a crossroads we never anticipated. Recently, I experienced one of these defining moments when I was unexpectedly laid off from my position at one of the world's largest data companies, Pinterest. While this turn of events initially felt like a setback, it turned out to be the catalyst I needed.

Losing a job can be a disorienting experience, leaving us with a mix of emotions ranging from shock and disappointment to uncertainty about the future. However, I chose to view this transition as an opportunity for reinvention and self-reflection. Instead of dwelling on the past, I am shifting my focus towards exploring my personal goals, aspirations, and untapped potential.

During my time at Pinterest my focus was primarily on professional growth. This unexpected turn allowed me to reconnect with my personal passions that had taken a backseat for far too long. This period is going to be for exploration in a sense of fulfillment but also explore new perspectives and insights that I can apply to future endeavor.

During this period I will be focusing on building this website, applying for new lines of work, and trying new things. I realized that if I use this time of life purposefully, the potential ahead could be exponential.

Getting laid off from my job was a pivotal moment that allowed for newfound perspectives, and as I prepare to re-enter the workforce, I have learned that setbacks can be stepping stones to greater fulfillment and success. With a fresh outlook and a renewed sense of purpose, I am excited to embrace the next chapter of my life and look forward to the grind that is ahead.

A pitcture of what it means to keep the main thing the main thing. I took the news of the layoff and embraced the emotions through running.

A movement that evokes the flow and a calm state of mind. Just the thing needed in times like this.
